10 Tips for Attending a Wedding Show

With these tips, you'll feel a little more prepared when talking to wedding vendors.

1. Dress comfortably because you'll be on your feet most of the day. Dress in layers, but don't wear anything too heavy that you'll have to hold on to.

2. Create a wedding email account to give all vendors, but only give your personal email to vendors that you have already booked.

3. Bring a friend (or two) but not your entire wedding party. Bring people you trust, like your maid of honor, mother, and grooms are always welcome!

4. Take notes (either paper or electronic) so you remember what vendors you'd like to follow up with.

5. Bring a snack and bottled water because concession stands can be expensive and lines can get pretty long, too.

6. Enter giveaways and/or sign up for special offers. Bring pre-printed labels with your contact information and wedding date.

7. Ask your hired professionals who they recommend. If you've already booked your photographer (for example), ask them which vendors they recommend.

8. Take photos to remember anything that inspires you.

9. Get social! Connect with wedding vendors on their social media to avoid giving out your information and you can un-follow them later if you like.

10. Have fun! Enjoy the samples, hop in photo booths, watch the demonstrations and check out the fashion show (if they have one). Be yourself and try to make connections with vendors you meet.
