Q: What is the difference between a Tuxedo and Suit?

A: "While it may not be obvious at first glance there are a few differences between a tuxedo and a suit.

Tuxedos are typically worn for formal occasions, such as a Black Tie Events or weddings. They will have a satin lapel, satin covered buttons, and a satin stripe down the leg. Traditionally, a bow tie should be worn with a tuxedo.

Suits are typically used as business attire, but are still formal enough for a wedding party! Suits will have a lapel which is the same material as the rest of the jacket, uncovered plastic buttons, and no piping down the leg. You would usually wear a long tie with a suit.

Still not sure which option to go with? Give us a call to set up an appointment and check out our styles and speak with our knowledgeable staff!"

Q: Do you offer separates pieces for rental?

A: Absolutely! At DuBois, you can rent as little as just a tie and pocket square, and customize the package to your individual needs. Check with your local DuBois store to see how we can make your vision become a reality!

Q: How do we get our out of town guys fitted?

A: "Out of town guys are no problem at all! There is a measurement form on our website that can be printed out for your convenience. As a professional courtesy, most rental companies will take your measurements and give them to you at no cost. It does help if your guys know the fit of the outfit you chose as sometimes that makes a difference in their sizing. Once you have your measurements you can submit them on our website, select your pick up location and wait for your confirmation! We are always available to answer your questions or to walk you through the process.

If you need measurements taken for a wedding you are in, but the party is not renting through DuBois, no worries! Just give us a call to set up an appointment, and we will have you on your way in a few short minutes with all the measurements you'll need for free!"

Q. Do I have to make an appointment due to COVID-19 restrictions?

A. "Yes, we are currently requiring appointments due to COVID-19; however, we will accept walk-ins when our store is not busy. If we are busy at the time of your visit, we will work with you to make sure we can get you scheduled for an appointment as soon as we are able! Keep in mind we are limiting the number of customers in our store at a time to maintain safe social distancing. Check with your local DuBois location for more information and feel free to call or email us at any time to set up an appointment!"

Q: Is there a curbside pick-up option for my rental?

A: "Yes! If you are unable to try on in store, you may pick up your rental without a final fitting. If you need us to bring it out to you we can do that as well, so long as you call ahead. Otherwise, you can just stop in and let us know you cannot try on. At this time, you will be asked to sign a waiver stating you did not try on in store. If anything does not fit correctly call us right away and we will do all we can to fix it for you!"

Q: I'm getting married in a month, is it too late for rentals?

A: “Absolutely not! We can still provide your guys with their wedding attire. One of the perks of being a company with a local warehouse is that we have a little more flexibility with a quicker turnaround. All you need to do is call your local store and set up an appointment to register your wedding and then have your party get measured as soon as possible. It's that easy!”

Q: When do the guys need to be fitted?

A: "We recommend that all measurements take place between 2 and 3 months prior to the wedding, however we can be flexible for those on a weight loss journey, or for kids who are growing like crazy! Just keep your store posted on any potential late measurements, and we will take it from there. One of the perks of shopping local!
Please be aware, due to the ongoing pandemic, masks are required in store to help ensure the safety customers, and staff."

-Randy, Lead Sales Associate | Green Bay, WI

Q: When is pick-up for my rental?

A: "Pick-ups typically take place 2 days before your event. The store where you have chosen to pick up will send you a text message letting you know when your rental has arrived at the store and it is ready for pickup. All you have to do is call and set up an appointment for a final fitting! During the final fitting, if anything doesn't fit properly, we will call in your exchange to our local plant and get you those pieces either that same day or by 3 PM the following day. Once you approve the fit of everything and the full payment has been made, you are all set to strut your stuff!"

-Bridget, Sales Associate | Green Bay, WI

Q: Should we bring anything to the booking appointment?

A: "There isn't anything you "need" for your booking appointment (aside from yourself and your fiancé!), but there are a few things you might want to bring with you to help us realize your vision. If you already have an idea of what you're looking for, showing us pictures, Pinterest boards, or any other examples of colors or styles are extremely helpful. And, if you happen to have fabric swatches of the bridesmaids dresses or anything else you want to match, having those items with you makes it easy to select the perfect color for your vest, tie, or pocket square! These items aren't required, but they can make it easier for us to help you select the styles and colors for your big day!"

Q: Does DuBois offer Military Discounts?

A: Yes, we offer our service members 10% off their total. This offer is only for those it applies to, and not the entire party. You may be asked to show proof of service for the military discount.

-Tom, Lead Sales Associate | Brookfield, WI

Q: Are belts included with the rentals?

A: Yes, belts are included with certain styles. Our Ultra Slim Fit David Major collection are the only styles that come with belts, that will match the shoes! All other styles have an adjustable waistband that have three sizes in each!

-Brooke, Sales Associate | Downtown Green Bay, WI

Q: How long before the wedding should I choose my styles?

A: "Most couples choose their formalwear after the bride has purchased her dress and selected the bridesmaid gown colors. The earlier you register, the more time your attendants have to order their tuxedos on time. Some people know what they want a year ahead of time, while others wait until a month or so before the wedding. The average is 3 to 4 months, and we recommend at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding or event, though we can provide rentals in much shorter time frames if needed."
